Brussel Sprouts have such a bad wrap, but they are one of the most delicious veggies if prepared properly! Try it out!
First you will want to cut all of your brussel sprouts in half LENGTHWISE. That way they will hold together and not turn into salad in the pan.
Heat a large skillet (stainless or nonstick, doesnt matter) over medium heat and throw in a couple pads of butter (Pad=1 TB). Wait until the pan is nice and hot before you throw those little suckers in.
Once you have them in the pan, lightly salt and pepper them.
HERE’S THE KEY:
This is why the hubby does all the cooking and I do not. Its all about patience! Let the brussel sprouts sit on one side and get nice and brown before you stir them. (I like to stir constantly, not ideal here).
Stir OCCASIONALLY until the brussel sprouts are nice and golden. Add just a little water in the bottom of the pan and cover. Let cook until tender when you poke them with a knife: 10-15 mins. Then serve, it really is that easy to add this delicious, nutritious veggie to your table!
